Senior Accountant

Addison Group has partnered with one of California’s most prestigious real estate owners and operators to find a Senior CAM Accountant to join their specialized recovery team. This isn't just a support role—you will have full A-Z ownership of the CAM process for a high-profile portfolio of over 250 properties, including premium office towers and major retail centers.

• Full-Cycle Ownership
• Lease Interpretation:
  Review and model complex lease language to ensure 100% accuracy in recovery setups within MRI.
• The CAM Lifecycle:
  Lead the preparation of annual estimates, execute year-end true-ups from start to finish, and manage all billing adjustments.
• Strategic Analysis:
  Perform in-depth recovery ratio analysis and projected billing rates to maximize expense recoveries and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Tenant Relations & Audit:
  Act as the subject matter expert in resolving tenant inquiries, disputes, and formal audits, collaborating closely with Legal and Leasing teams.
• Forecasting:
  Partner with Operations to prepare quarterly forecasts and annual budgets for retail and office portfolios.

• Experience:
  
  3–5+ years of commercial real estate accounting with a specific focus on Retail and/or Full‑Service Office portfolios.
• CAM Mastery:
  Proven ability to own the reconciliation process independently (not just assisting).
• Technical Proficiency:
  High‑level MRI experience is strongly preferred.
• Excel Power User:
  Must be comfortable with large workbooks and complex formulas (INDEX/MATCH, XLOOKUP). Exposure to Power Query or SQL is a major plus.
• Communication:
  Strong ability to explain complex financial reconciliations to non‑accounting stakeholders and tenants.
