ABOUTTHE ROLE
As a Tax Investigation Specialist at Tax Rise, you’ll be at the forefront of case management, working directly with the IRS and state agencies to resolve complex tax matters on behalf of our clients. You’ll serve as a key contact for communication, documentation, and status tracking, helping ensure every case is processed accurately and efficiently.
This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys navigating government systems, maintaining precise records, and collaborating across teams to deliver real solutions.

How You’ll Be RewardedAt Tax Rise, we believe in rewarding performance and passion! You’ll receive a competitive hourly wage, plus the opportunity to earn a monthly performance bonus — up to $1,000 per month — based on your impact and productivity.
- Base pay
: $23.00 – $25.00 per hour (full-time, 40 hours/week) - Monthly Bonus

Additional bonus potential based on performance (up to $1,000/month)
- Manage communication with the IRS and state tax agencies to resolve client cases
- Submit Power of Attorney (POA) forms and ensure all related documentation is complete and accurate
- Maintain detailed records and upload IRS transcripts to our internal systems
- Track case progress and ensure all case notes are accurately logged in our CRM
- Collaborate with Enrolled Agents, Case Managers, and Sales to deliver exceptional client outcomes
- Assist with various tasks and responsibilities to support team success
- Keep client information confidential in accordance with company policies
NEED TO HAVE
- Active CTEC certification
- Active PTIN and CAF Number with the IRS
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in CRM systems and tax platforms
- Proficient in G Suite, Microsoft Office, and CRM software
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience
- Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, high‑volume setting
