Commercial Loan Officer

We are currently seeking a Commercial Loan Officer to join our team at Cornerstone Lending Group, a mortgage brokerage specializing in multifamily, commercial, SBA, and bridge loans. Based in Irvine, California, we offer a dynamic work environment and excellent growth opportunities.

Position Summary:

As a Commercial Loan Officer, you will be responsible for generating and cultivating business from loan applicants with diverse financial needs. This role requires exceptional communication and negotiation skills, as well as a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented setting. • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in commercial loan origination and/or analysis (preferred)
• Active CA DRE salesperson or broker's license
• Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills
• Detail‑oriented and highly organized
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Proficiency in MS Office

Essential Job Functions:

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Proactively seek out business opportunities on a daily basis
• Maintain an organized loan pipeline
• Interact with borrowers and referral partners throughout the loan process
• Attend property inspections (limited to local properties)
• Review and analyze historical income and expenses of properties, along with other relevant information, in order to determine loan terms and conditions
• Perform cash flow analysis for properties and borrowers
• Prepare comprehensive loan submissions for lenders, including a narrative report, necessary documentation, and justifications for the loan request
• Address lender inquiries, conduct research, and provide additional information as needed
• Assist in the loan closing process
• Perform other duties as assigned
