Job SummaryThe Pricing Lead role will help build the pricing strategy and execute across large assortments, balancing competitiveness, margin, and long‑term value. This role will work to build a competition‑based pricing strategy and assess other levers including shipping thresholds, shipping fees, currency conversion, margin targets, etc. Working closely with Merchandising, Regional Teams, Marketing, Finance, Data, and Tech to turn data into pricing decisions that actually move the business.
Responsibilities- Own and manage pricing strategy across assigned categories, countries and brands, ensuring alignment with company margin, revenue, and competitive goals
- Influence cross‑functional stakeholders (Merchandising, Regional Leads, Marketing, Finance) to align on pricing decisions that balance competing priorities, including revenue growth, customer experience, system constraints and margin protection.
- Drive pricing governance and exception management with a strategic mindset, ensuring short‑term decisions reinforce long‑term pricing integrity and profitability.
- Analyze large datasets to identify pricing opportunities, elasticity trends, competitive gaps, and margin risks
- Build and maintain pricing models using SQL and Python to support decisions at scale
- Monitor competitor pricing, promotions, and market dynamics across global ecommerce markets
- Partner with Merchandising and Category teams to support assortment, promotions, and lifecycle pricing decisions
- Collaborate with Finance on margin planning, forecasts, and post‑analysis of pricing actions
- Develop dashboards, reporting, and insights that clearly communicate pricing performance to senior stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement in pricing processes, tools, and automation
- Support testing and experimentation (A/B tests, elasticity testing, promo effectiveness)
- Strong analytical foundation with hands‑on experience using SQL (advanced queries, joins, large datasets)
- Practical experience using Python for analysis, modeling, or automation
- Deep understanding of ecommerce pricing mechanics (MAP, promotions, competitive pricing, margin tradeoffs)
- Proven ability to translate data into clear recommendations and influence cross‑functional partners
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and imperfect data in a fast‑moving environment
- Experience pricing large assortments (thousands+ SKUs)
- Exposure to global or cross‑border ecommerce pricing
- Familiarity with pricing tools, competitive intelligence platforms, or internal pricing engines
- Experience supporting promotions, markdown strategies, or lifecycle pricing
- Pricing decisions are data‑backed, explainable, and aligned with business goals
- Improved price competitiveness without reckless margin erosion
- Faster, more scalable pricing workflows through automation and better tooling
- Strong trust and credibility with Merchandising, Finance, and Leadership
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with Google Business Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms) preferred
Generally requires a minimum 5+ years of experience in pricing, revenue management, or analytics within retail or ecommerce
Education RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field (MBA or Masters a plus, not required)
