About the Role

We are seeking a VP of Finance, rising in their career, to successfully own the company’s financial strategy and execution as we scale. This is a hands‑on executive role responsible for capital structure, liquidity management, financial reporting, and leadership of the accounting and finance functions.

The CFO will serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership, providing clear financial insight, risk management, and decision support to drive profitability and sustainable growth.

The ideal candidate is a modern, forward‑thinking financial leader with experience in NonQM lending, high‑growth environments, and scaling organizations from small to large.

Strategic Leadership & Vision
  • Align financial strategy with company goals and long‑term growth vision.
  • Lead modeling for growth scenarios, capital needs, and potential M&A activity.
  • Translate the company’s mission into measurable, financial outcomes.
Financial Management
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and KPI development.
  • Conduct scenario modeling, sensitivity testing, and unit economics analysis.
  • Drive performance dashboards and financial visibility across the business.
Accounting, Controls & Reporting
  • Ensure accurate GAAP/IFRS financial statements and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee audits, internal controls, and risk management processes.
  • Strengthen financial discipline, accuracy, and operational rigor.
Treasury & Capital Strategy
  • Manage liquidity, cash flow, and working capital optimization.
  • Oversee debt facilities, banking relationships, and capital structure.
  • Support capital raises, investor relations, and board‑level communication.
Operational & Systems Leadership
  • Enhance ERP systems, BI dashboards, and financial automation tools.
  • Improve process efficiency, procurement, cost optimization, and pricing strategy.
  • Lead digital transformation initiatives within the Finance organization.
Risk, Compliance & Governance
  • Identify and mitigate financial, operational, and market risks.
  • Oversee insurance strategy, regulatory compliance, and sound governance.
  • Maintain ethical standards and foster a culture of transparency.
Cross‑Functional Leadership
  • Partner with CEO, COO, and department heads to support growth initiatives.
  • Present complex financial insights to non‑financial stakeholders.
  • Build credibility with investors, lenders, auditors, and external partners.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5+ years of executive‑level finance experience.
  • Strong background in NonQM lending, mortgage banking, or private lending (3‑5 years strongly preferred).
  • Proven track record of scaling organizations, ideally in fast‑growth, collaborative culture.
  • Proficiency with Quick Books and modern ERP/BI systems (e.g., Net Suite, SAP, Oracle, Power BI, Tableau).
  • Deep knowledge of GAAP/IFRS, financial reporting, audits, and internal controls.
  • Expertise in FP&A, treasury, capital management, and corporate finance.
  • Experience leading M&A, fundraising, or complex capital transactions.
  • Demonstrated leadership of multi‑disciplinary finance and accounting teams.
  • Exceptional communication skills with executives, boards, lenders, and investors.
  • Strong ethics, integrity, and commitment to financial discipline.
