You will work side‑by‑side with firm leadership to serve clients and build the business, having a direct impact on the firm’s success. Additionally, you will be a mentor and coach to a group of talented staff, utilizing your expertise to help develop their technical and professional skills.
- Be a trusted member of the engagement team providing various corporate tax compliance, provision, and consulting services to industry specific clients.
- Be a valued tax business advisor, lead client relationships on day‑to‑day tax matters with various clients ranging from middle market to multinational.
- Consult on technical matters and special projects in various areas of corporate and flow‑through taxation, accounting methods, and ASC
740. - Research various tax matters, respond to IRS and other tax authority inquiries, and provide recommendations to the client.
- Coordinate with other BT practice areas on complicated tax matters.
- Manage client engagement staffing, billings/collections, and ensure client profitability targets are met.
- Utilize entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally and externally with the goal of acquiring new clients, projects, and revenue.
- Invest in your professional development individually and through participation in firm‑wide learning and development programs.
- Support the growth and development of team members through the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy, helping associates meet their professional goals.
- 4‑year degree required; master’s or advanced degree desirable.
- CPA, Law License, or Enrolled Agent.
- 12 years of experience providing federal tax compliance and consulting services in a professional services firm.
- 5 years of supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling associates.
- Demonstrated management, analytical, organization, interpersonal, project management, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead and supervise others, provide exceptional client service, demonstrate commitment to continuous learning, and exhibit a sense of urgency and commitment to quality and timely completion of projects.
- Highly developed software and Microsoft Suite skills.
- Japanese language proficiency preferred.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship preferred.
The pay rate range for this position is $228,000 to $305,490. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of relevant factors including but not limited to applicant’s skills, prior experience, qualifications, degrees, professional certifications, work arrangements and geographic location. Baker Tilly offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package to eligible employees.
