Applies principles of accounting to analyze a variety of financial information of moderate scope and complexity and prepares financial reports. Responsible for the accuracy, integrity, control and timeliness of financial reports, transactions, systems, and processes.

Essential Functions
  • Prepare general ledger, asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing moderately complex account information.
  • Recommend financial actions to management by analyzing accounting options.
  • Summarize current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statements, and other management reports.
  • Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents. Verify and analyze business records, transactions, and procedures.
  • Maintain accounting controls by auditing compliance with and recommending policies and procedures.
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  • Maintain financial security by following accounting policies and internal controls.
  • Answer accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting a variety of accounting policies and regulations.
  • Prepare moderately complex financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
  • Maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping financial information confidential.
  • Apply continuous improvement techniques and methods to internal processes and systems.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing professional networks, and/or participating in professional societies.
  • Comply with federal and state legal requirements and professional standards. Study existing and new legislation, enforce adherence to requirements, and advise management on needed actions.
  • Share specialized accounting knowledge with others. Represent organization on specific projects. Mentor new employees. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Work assignments may include cross-functional or project team responsibilities (e.g. continuous improvement).
Additional Responsibilities
  • Reconciliation of customer accounts
  • Collection and application of customer payments
  • Maintain accounts receivable customer files
  • Investigate and resolve customer queries and payment irregularities
  • Process adjustments to customer accounts
  • Develop and maintain a positive, professional working relationship with customers
  • Support month-end close process
  • Reporting and analysis
  • Develop and implement process improvements
  • Some travel may be required to customers and/or other Parker sites (0%-10%).
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (BS) in Accounting. Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through 2+ years of related experience.
  • 3+ years Accounts Receivable and General Ledger Accounting experience.
  • Aerospace industry experience preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

This position is subject to meeting U.S. export compliance and/or U.S. Government contracting citizenship eligibility requirements. Must be a U.S. Citizen.

  • Pay Range: $72,650 to $121,050 annually
