Providence is seeking a mission‑minded Senior Finance Manager with deep analytical and business insights expertise to play an integral role in our healthcare transformation journey by providing financial, strategic and economic analyses to drive diversified growth opportunities. The successful candidate will be a highly‑motivated individual who has the ability to work through ambiguity, proactively solve problems, drive data‑driven insights, and influence business and partnership decision‑making at the Executive level.

Strategic Finance is a high‑impact, high‑visibility internal consulting group supporting a variety of System‑wide initiatives.

Work Location:

Providence System Offices Discovery Park‑Irvine, CA. The position is Hybrid; the employee will work on site Monday through Thursday beginning Spring of 2027.

• Lead and develop advanced financial analyses to support strategic initiatives, capital investment, revenue diversification, and divestiture opportunities on behalf of the company’s CFO. These projects are complex, high risk, and material to the system.
• Design and execute market and competitive analysis to support strategy, business development, and long‑range financial planning.
• Design and construct sophisticated financial/economic analyses including ROIC decomposition/optimization, product, customer and portfolio profitability, scenario modeling and competitive analysis.
• Prepare and deliver actionable insights from analyses in written, graphical, and verbal formats to inform and empower senior leadership.
• Provide consulting services to system operations, functions and clinical programs to evaluate opportunities to improve financial performance and/or mission return.
• Connect strategic decisions and options with financial analysis and impacts, including the risks of status quo.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders and leaders across the organization.
• Contribute to the creation of FP&A best practices for planning, forecasting, and analytics.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or related field.
• 8 years of closely related finance experience.

• Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related business field.
• Certified Public Accountant, HFMS or FACHE certifications.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive responsibility in business analytics, strategic financial management, strategic planning and/or consulting roles in healthcare.
• Demonstrated executive presence with strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to distill complex analysis into impactful yet concise stories.
• Ability to think outside the box and adapt to new ways of working.
• Sense of humor and enthusiasm for complex business discussions are an added bonus.
