Position Summary:

Serving as a strategic partner to the Division’s Executives, Department Leaders, and Corporate Leaders, this role leads a team accountable for analyzing and underwriting large lease transactions, customer financial health, capital decisions, and valuation analyses. The position is responsible for leading the production of Investment Committee deliverables and making strategic recommendations based on sound logic, accurate modeling of complex topics, quantitative reasoning, and strategic implications.

To ensure success, the role requires strong leadership, people development, strategic thinking, compelling messaging, a deep understanding of real estate finance, and excellent communication skills, all while working in close collaboration with colleagues across leasing, asset management, finance, operations, development, tax, financing, and accounting.

  • Lead and develop a best-in-class Investment Analytics team that is accountable for evaluating all types of real estate investments to make recommendations and support strategic decisions (including leasing, capital projects, re/developments, acquisitions, and dispositions).
  • Establish the team culture, which includes leading the team to be collaborative, serving as a strategic partner to other stakeholders, and driving continuous improvement & innovation. Influence, collaborate with, and align with internal partners, corporate partners, and Executive Leadership.
  • Provide thought leadership and underwriting oversight, and define the analytical approach to evaluating investment decisions that require new or creative thinking. Lead the team to produce investment committee materials related to large leases, tenant credit, capital investments, new developments, acquisition, or disposition opportunities.
  • Implement strong processes and governance around analytics, models, templates, relevant systems, and training. Ensures the team’s deliverables are consistent and accurate.
  • Lead the team to design and implement standardized modeling templates and automated reporting tools to increase team efficiency. Leads the team to identify opportunities to streamline processes and analytics through automation, improved data integration, and AI or other technology.
  • Lead supporting team members, providing technical mentorship and professional development. Establishes and leads the implementation of strategic initiatives and internal process improvements.

Skills:
  • Experience building, developing, and leading high-performing teams in fast‑paced environments with strong project management skills, leading a high volume of deliverables, often multiple projects simultaneously, in high‑pressure situations working under tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional leadership and executive presence, and ability to influence stakeholders at the highest levels (C‑suite, Division Executives and Corporate Executives).
  • Advanced experience in structuring and/or modeling investments that focus on optimizing cash flows and creating long‑term asset value.
  • Exceptional understanding of real estate and investment principles.
  • Excellent experience with financial statement analysis (P&L, balance sheet) and understanding of corporate finance concepts, including cash flows, margins, debt, and leverage.
  • Excellent ability to distill complex data, analyses, and trends into clear, concise written summaries with clear strategic messaging.
Preferred Education:
  • Master’s Degree (or equivalent experience)
