Tax Partner - Estates, Gifts & Trusts
Southern California | Irvine & Long Beach (remote eligible if within commute distance)
OverviewWe're looking for a seasoned Estates, Gifts & Trusts tax professional ready to step into a senior leadership role at a growing firm with real upward trajectory. This is a compliance-led position at Director or Partner level - and that distinction matters. If the majority of your time is spent in planning and you're looking to keep it that way, this probably isn't the right fit.
But if you thrive in the technical depth of compliance work, enjoy owning complex client relationships, and want a platform that could ultimately lead to heading up a practice - read on.
You'll be the go-to expert on all things EGT - leading compliance engagements, advising high-net-worth clients and their families, and building the kind of trusted relationships that bring in referrals from attorneys, financial advisors, and other allied professionals. Business development is a core part of the role, and the firm will back you to grow it. There's a clear path to practice leadership for the right person.
The firm is highly regarded for its supportive, people-oriented culture, approachable leadership, and strong career development.
- Director or Partner level experience in Estates, Gifts & Trusts
- CPA and MST credentials highly preferred
- Strong existing network with allied professionals (attorneys, wealth managers, family offices)
- Comfortable with public speaking and client-facing business development
- Compliance-focused background with the appetite to lead
- Based in Southern California with the ability to commute to Irvine and Long Beach as needed
This isn't a role where you'll be maintaining someone else's vision. You'll have the seniority, the platform, and the potential mandate to shape where this practice goes. For the right person, it's a rare chance to build something.
