FP&A Senior Analyst

University of California, Irvine is hiring an FP&A Senior Analyst to support the School of Medicine Finance team by providing financial planning and analysis services. The role involves collaborating with clinical departments and senior leadership to manage budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting to drive strategic decision-making and improve financial performance.

• Support budgeting, quarterly forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting for the School of Medicine clinical departments.
• Partner with the Dean’s Office, clinical department leaders, and SOM senior leadership to provide financial insights and decision support.
• Lead financial systems transformation projects for UCI Medical Center and manage relationships with multiple stakeholders.
• Develop and present complex financial models, metrics, scenario planning, and strategic financial analysis.
• Strong knowledge required in GAAP or GASB, financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and healthcare finance preferred.
• Expert skills in spreadsheet and database software for complex financial analysis and reporting.
• Qualifications include 10 years experience with BA/BS or equivalent, including 1-3 years in accounting and 3-5 years in FP&A; CPA/MBA preferred.
• Compensation ranges from $108,100 to $204,900 per year, with additional benefits including medical insurance and retirement plans.
• Responsible for synthesizing financial data and translating it into executive presentations and actionable insights.
• Position requires handling complex clinical financial operations with minimal precedence and exercising judgment on assumptions and trends.
