Risk Manager/Analyst, Financial Analyst
The Retirement & Income Solutions (RIS) Annuity business is seeking an Associate Actuary. Retirement and Income Solutions (RIS) provides guaranteed income to individuals in a predictable and low risk way and helps companies reduce their risk and remain financially strong. The RIS business, one of the largest U.S. segments in Met Life, has a wide variety of risk solutions, investment and annuity-type products, including US Pensions, Structured Settlements and Institutional Income Annuities which make up the Annuities business.
Role OverviewThe successful candidate will provide actuarial, pricing, and technical support to the Annuity business teams by evaluating and implementing reinsurance opportunities. This role will support all annuity businesses seamlessly and flexibly where and when support, leadership, and analysis is needed.
This position interacts closely with all areas of RIS, including R&D, Pricing Frameworks, Product, Contracts, Operations, as well as with enterprise stakeholders such as Reinsurance, Finance, Actuarial, Risk, Investments, and Legal.
Key Responsibilities- Perform actuarial, pricing, financial, and technical analysis to support reinsurance opportunities for new and inforce business.
- Partner with R&D and Pricing Frameworks teams to perform model updates, validation, and documentation.
- Develop future-state operating model for the Annuity Pricing teams for live reinsurance pricing including post-sale procedures & requirements; identify & incorporate all stakeholders required for seamless implementation & administration.
- Drive implementation of reinsurance within Annuity Pricing teams by ensuring models and calculations are embedded into broader pricing processes; ensure robust training and documentation.
- Support non-reinsurance BAU as priorities dictate; includes pricing and profitability analysis of individual cases/sales in all Annuity businesses, analyzing experience, recommending process improvements & automation, and partnering cross-functionally on projects.
Account Managers are a key role in the Regional Business service delivery model. The role is a single point of contact for Brokers and provides key support functions across our different Regional Market customer segments, as well as support our sales partners with internal and external pre- and post-sale activities associated with the acquisition of new business and maintaining existing customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow an assigned book of business (2–5K lives) by serving as the single point of accountability for broker and client service delivery, issue resolution, escalations, compliance, BOR changes, and overall customer satisfaction.
- Build and maintain strong broker and client relationships through consultative engagement, in‑person and virtual meetings, stewardship, renewals, finalist presentations, and implementation support in partnership with Account Executives, Client Service Consultants, and Underwriting.
- Coordinate cross‑functional delivery and execution by leading regular internal partner calls, ensuring service commitments are met, and aligning stakeholders to support renewals, profitability, persistency, and client needs.
- Drive growth and retention initiatives by identifying cross‑sell, re‑enrollment, and plan change opportunities; executing targeted marketing and education campaigns; and staying informed of customer business changes (e.g., acquisitions, layoffs, budget impacts).
- Track, analyze, and present performance insights by monitoring service results, developing recommendations for improvement, presenting outcomes at broker stewardship meetings, and maintaining accurate account documentation and plans in Salesforce.
- 3+ years’ related experience, such as account management or customer service working in a fast paced, complex environment with strong group benefits product knowledge and possess knowledge of plan designs, benefit features and how claims are paid.
