Sunflower Bank, N.A., is looking for an energetic, highly motivated individual to fill the position of full‑time Mortgage Loan Processor III at our Irvine, CA location. The hourly rate for this position is $33.00 - $36.00 per hour depending on knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, and location. Fully remote options are available.

Responsibilities
  • Documentation (Review and Verification) – review each loan file to verify documents are present, accurate, accurately calculated, compliant and sufficiently complete for an underwriting decision. This includes satisfying DU requirements and calculation of income prior to underwriting submission.
  • Intermediate Processing – master the process for a substantial variety of loan types (conventional, FHA, fixed, conforming, refinance, purchase, Texas 50(a)(6)), property types (primary, secondary, investment) and income types (W2, retired, self‑employed).
  • Communication (Internal and External) – accurately inform each applicant, loan officer, underwriter or appropriate third party about loan application status and issues to resolve.
  • Computer Skills – accurately enter loan application data into the computerized loan processing system to make available to all appropriate personnel. Conduct online research.
  • Closing Support – assist other departments in preparing loan closings by informing parties of final approval and performing other related tasks.
  • Deadlines – consistently hit ongoing tight deadlines with regard to underwriting, closing, etc.
  • Compliance – meet rules, obligations, timelines and deadlines to comply with company policy, contracts, investor guidelines, lending programs and state and federal law and regulation.
Education / Experience Preferred
  • Graduation from a 4‑year college or university with major coursework in a discipline related to the requirements of the position preferred but not required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Minimum 5 years of directly processing experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.

Working Conditions

The physical demands of this position require the ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Employees may spend extended periods sitting or standing, using hands to operate computers or other equipment, and reaching for work‑related tasks. Regular walking may be required, along with occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, or climbing. The role may involve lifting or moving items weighing up to 10 pounds.

Vision requirements include close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
