Position: Income Tax Manager

Job Description – Income Tax Manager (Temp-hire)

We are seeking an experienced Income Tax Manager to oversee and manage corporate income tax compliance, tax reporting, and tax provision activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in U.S. corporate income tax, ASC 740 income tax accounting, and experience working in either public accounting or a comparable corporate tax environment.

Key Responsibilities Income Tax Compliance
  • Manage the preparation and review of federal, state, and local corporate income tax returns.
  • Oversee tax compliance calendars and ensure all filings are completed accurately and timely.
  • Coordinate with external tax advisors and service providers as needed.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and assess their impact on the organization.
Tax Provision & Financial Reporting (ASC 740)
  • Lead the quarterly and annual income tax provision process under ASC 740.
  • Prepare and review current and deferred tax calculations, tax account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Analyze uncertain tax positions and maintain related documentation.
  • Support external audit requests and provide tax-related financial reporting support.
Tax Planning & Analysis
  • Assist with corporate tax planning initiatives to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Evaluate the tax implications of business transactions and corporate initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Accounting and Finance teams on tax-sensitive matters.
Process Improvement
  • Develop and enhance tax processes, controls, and documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and accuracy of tax reporting and compliance activities.
  • Support implementation and optimization of tax software and reporting tools.
Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive income tax experience.
  • Experience in public accounting or a comparable corporate tax environment.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate income tax compliance and reporting.
  • Extensive experience with ASC 740 income tax provisions.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state corporate tax regulations.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
Preferred
  • CPA designation preferred.
  • Experience with One Source tax software.
  • Experience supporting multi-state and/or multi-entity organizations.
  • Experience with tax process improvements and automation initiatives.
