Our client, a growing and dynamic retail organization headquartered in Irvine, CA, is seeking a Treasury Manager to lead its treasury function. This is a high-impact, strategic role responsible for owning cash management operations and designing a scalable cash forecasting framework, while also leading the implementation and optimization of a new Treasury Management System (TMS).
This position offers strong visibility across the organization and the opportunity to modernize treasury processes within a fast-paced, consumer-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and lead all cash management activities, including daily cash positioning, liquidity management, and banking operations across multiple entities
- Design, build, and continuously enhance short- and long-term cash forecasting models, providing actionable insights to senior leadership
- Oversee and optimize cash flow processes to ensure adequate liquidity and efficient capital utilization
- Manage daily treasury operations, including monitoring bank accounts, funding requirements, and intercompany cash movements
- Approve and oversee execution of wire transfers, ACH transactions, and other payment activities with strong internal controls
- Lead relationships with banking partners, including service optimization, fee management, and new product implementation
- Oversee debt compliance, reporting, and covenant tracking (as applicable)
- Lead the implementation, configuration, and ongoing enhancement of a Treasury Management System (TMS), acting as the internal subject matter expert
- Partner cross-functionally with Accounting, FP&A, and IT to align cash forecasting with financial planning and reporting
- Identify and implement opportunities for automation, process improvement, and standardization across treasury operations
- Establish and maintain strong treasury controls and support internal/external audits
- Develop treasury reporting dashboards and KPIs to improve visibility into cash and liquidity
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive treasury or cash management experience, with demonstrated ownership of treasury operations
- Proven experience building and managing cash forecasting models in a multi-entity or complex environment
- Strong understanding of liquidity management, banking operations, and treasury controls
- Advanced Excel skills (financial modeling, scenario analysis) and proficiency with financial systems highly preferred
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
