Essential
Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Complies with all Federal, State, accreditation and institutional policies and procedures.
• Post all charges, receipts, funds and refunds to student accounts.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of student account balances.
• Ensures all refunds are posted and processed by required due dates.
• Performs credit balance review and schedules refunds accordingly.
• Process timely adjustments to institution loans.
• Review accuracy of VA Education Benefit payments and debt letter processing.
• Ability to post VA or Agency refunds to account ledger.
• Agency invoicing and collections.
• Enforce corporate refund policy to ensure compliant with state and federal regulations.
• Maintains knowledge of Title IV awarding and cash management rules and regulations.
• Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers
• Other duties as assigned.
• Prior knowledge of VA benefits/certifications is a MUST
• Previous School Certifying Official and Enrollment Manager platform experience
• Agency/ Third party invoicing processes.
• Works with a sense of urgency and responsiveness to students and co-workers.
• Demonstrate the willingness and ability to complete additional training opportunities as assigned by the Student Finance Education, Experience, and Skillset
• At least 3 year of experience in a financial aid department of an accredited college or university with direct responsibility for processing Title IV activities, VA programs and Agency funding preferred.
• Associate’s degree or comparable work experience required. Bachelor’s degree with coursework in math, business, finance, auditing or accounting preferred.
• Excellent customer service, oral and written communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Excel
• Ability to meet deadlines and execute multiple priorities
