Finance & Administration Controller

We are seeking an experienced Finance & Administration Controller to oversee the financial and administrative operations of a U.S. subsidiary of a Korean trading/manufacturing company.

This is a hands‑on, broad‑based leadership role responsible for accounting, financial reporting, treasury and cash management, tax coordination, HR/payroll administration, and general corporate administration.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Controller, CFO, Finance Director/Manager, or equivalent senior finance professional, preferably within a Korean‑owned U.S. subsidiary.

This position is ideal for someone who is comfortable working independently in a lean organization and acting as a key liaison between U.S. operations and Korean headquarters.

Key Responsibilities Accounting & Financial Reporting
  • Oversee A/R, A/P, general ledger, inventory, fixed assets, and month-end closing.
  • Prepare and review monthly and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Monitor profitability, working capital, operating expenses, and overall financial performance.
  • Maintain effective internal controls and accounting procedures.
  • Coordinate with external CPAs, auditors, and accounting service providers.
Treasury & Cash Management
  • Manage daily cash flow, working capital, collections, and payments.
  • Maintain banking relationships and oversee corporate banking activities.
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts and monitor liquidity.
  • Support financing activities, credit facilities, and other treasury matters.
Tax & Compliance
  • Coordinate federal and state tax filings with external tax advisors.
  • Oversee payroll tax and other financial compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate U.S./Korea intercompany transactions and related financial matters.
  • Help ensure compliance with applicable U.S. regulations and corporate requirements.
Budgeting & Business Support
  • Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses.
  • Analyze actual results versus budget and explain significant variances.
  • Provide management with financial insights and recommendations.
  • Support pricing, margin, inventory, and working‑capital analysis.
HR & General Administration
  • Oversee payroll, employee benefits, insurance, and related administration.
  • Support employee onboarding, terminations, and HR compliance.
  • Manage corporate insurance, licenses, registrations, office administration, and key vendors.
  • Coordinate with external legal, accounting, and professional service providers.
Headquarters Coordination
  • Serve as a key financial and administrative liaison between the U.S. subsidiary and Korean headquarters.
  • Prepare financial and operational reports requested by headquarters.
  • Coordinate intercompany settlements and cross‑border financial matters.
  • Communicate U.S. business and financial matters effectively to Korean management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant U.S. accounting/finance experience.
  • Previous experience as a Controller, CFO, Finance Director/Manager, or equivalent senior finance professional.
  • Hands‑on experience with accounting, financial reporting, treasury/cash management, and tax coordination.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple functions in a lean organization.
  • Strong Excel and financial analysis skills.
  • Fluent Korean and English communication skills.
  • Must already be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available.
