The Irvine Police Department Cadet Program offers a path for students to gain first-hand experience in law enforcement while attending college. Cadets assist at the front desk, process routine reports, and support public safety activities, with duties expanding as knowledge and experience grow.
Program is designed to mentor towards full-time roles. Cadets must be 18–23 at hire, enrolled in an accredited college, and able to pass a public safety background check.
