The City of Irvine Police Cadet program offers a structured pathway for students to gain first-hand experience in law enforcement while pursuing college coursework. Cadets may assist across multiple divisions and participate in a flexible schedule designed to accommodate class work.
Incumbents must be between 18 and 23 at hire, maintain enrollment in a college, and pass a Public Safety background check. A valid California driver’s license is required, with potential CPR/First Aid certification
