Project DetailsProject Path – Youth Substance Use Program – Irvine, Full Time, Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm. (Temporary only approx. 5-month project.)
Responsibilities- Provide community health education and technical assistance on alcohol, tobacco and other drug related issues.
- Develop, coordinate, and implement youth substance-use prevention programs through an evidence-based curriculum, educational workshops, youth-led leadership activities, and a youth conference.
- Serve as a community resource and support collaborative partners by planning and developing educational and promotional materials (presentations, handouts, flyers, etc.) and participating in and facilitating community meetings and events such as task forces, coalitions, and health fairs.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health or related field.
- 1-2 years experience in the public health field is highly preferred.
- Must demonstrate knowledge in health education theories related to prevention strategies and activities.
- Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to the cultural/ethnic diversity of the service population and the needs of special populations.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Starting pay range: $22.00 hourly
