Certified Substance Abuse Counselor | Residential Inpatient Setting | Sonoma County

Flexible shifts:
Day, Evening, with some Weekends

We’re partnering with a confidential, well-respected residential treatment provider in Sonoma County that is expanding its clinical team. This facility is rooted in a mission of compassion, structure, and evidence-based care—offering a serene environment for recovery and professional growth.

We are currently seeking a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor who is passionate about helping individuals navigate their path to recovery in a structured and supportive setting.

What You’ll Do:

• Facilitate group and individual counseling sessions using evidence-based modalities such as CBT and Motivational Interviewing
• Develop and revise individualized treatment plans
• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team in weekly case reviews
• Support residents in developing coping strategies and discharge planning

What You Bring:

• Active certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor in CA (e.g., CAADE, CCAPP, CADTP)
• At least 1 year of experience in a residential or inpatient setting preferred
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• ASAM Certified and CPR/First Aid certified (or willingness to obtain)
