The Front Office Supervisor is responsible for the smooth operation of check-ins and checkouts, guest services, guest satisfaction and resolving any issues that arise. The Front Office Supervisor is expected to be knowledgeable and capable of performance all guest services tasks.
The Front Office Supervisor must be able to oversee the welcoming process of the guests. The Front Office Supervisor also performs or delegates tasks such as making or changing a reservation, collecting guest payments, issuing room keys and contacting various departments to assist in resolving guest issues or requests. The Front Office Supervisor must be knowledgeable about hotel operation and standards as well as having excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The Front Office Supervisor must be multi task oriented, be a self-starter, be able to work well with others. The Front Office Supervisor is required to work with all hotel departments, as well as hotel guests.
The Front Office Supervisor other duties include but are not limited to:
- Direct and control the activities of the Front Office Department in order to ensure adherence to The Hotel standards, policies and procedures.
- Train all new hires
- Ongoing training to enforce policies, procedures and service standards
- Perform all duties of Customer Experience Agent
- Create checklists for all Customer Experience positions
- Ensure a smooth operation of registration and cashiering functions in Opera.
- Direct all activities of the Agents and Drivers to ensure communication and follow-up on any problems, guest requests, special requirements, etc.
- Review daily arrivals, VIPs, special request, group needs, room assignments and coordinates with Housekeeping Department
- Escort VIP and return guests to their rooms as needed
- Keep the Customer Experience Managers informed of all activities of Customer Experience department.
- Rooms Control when needed for large groups arrival
- Handle guest complaints and keep management informed as necessary
- Keep all personnel informed of information, policies and procedures relative to their areas and the hotel in general.
- Implement technology programs to enhance guest experience
- Respond properly to any hotel emergency or safety situation
- Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff
- Embody mission, vision and values of the hotel daily
- College Degree in Hotel or Business Administration or a related field preferred.
- Minimum one to two (1-2) years supervisory experience, preferably in a hotel/resort environment.
- Experience in selecting, hiring, training and supervising department staff. Strong written and verbal
- Ability to effectively interact with customers and staff in a professional manner.
- Excellent organizational, time management and computer skills.
