We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist for a 4‑month contract supporting day‑to‑day HR operations across multiple locations. This role is hands‑on and employee‑facing, with a focus on onboarding, workers’ compensation, and HR support. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, proactive, and experienced with Paylocity
.

Key Responsibilities Onboarding
  • Manage full-cycle onboarding and ensure timely completion of new hire documentation.
  • Process I‑9s, E‑Verify, tax forms, and direct deposit setup.
  • Coordinate benefits enrollment and system access.
  • Conduct new hire orientation (virtual or in‑person).
  • Track onboarding tasks and maintain accurate employee files.
Workers’ Compensation
  • Serve as the primary contact for all workers’ compensation claims.
  • File First Reports of Injury (FROI) and track claim progress.
  • Coordinate with carriers, adjusters, and leadership.
  • Manage return‑to‑work processes and modified duty assignments.
  • Update OSHA logs and ensure compliance.
Employee Support & HR Operations
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, payroll, PTO, and timekeeping.
  • Support leaders with employee relations documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records in Paylocity.
  • Assist with payroll audits and discrepancy resolution.
  • Support LOA administration, benefits tasks, LMS, and HR reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of HR Generalist or advanced HR Coordinator experience.
  • Strong proficiency with Paylocity (onboarding, workflows, time/labor).
  • Experience with workers’ compensation, I‑9, FLSA, and OSHA basics.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables preferred) and Word.
  • Experience with LOA and benefits administration.
  • Strong communication, confidentiality, and attention to detail.

This is a Contract position based out of Irvine, CA.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms. If eligible, the benefits available for this temporary role may include the following:
