Overview
Ultimate Staffing is hiring an HR Manager (Temporary). This position is located in Irvine, CA and is a hybrid role, Monday-Thursday in office, Friday WFH.
Pay Rate Range: $52.88-$57.69, $110k-$120k annually
We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to provide hands-on support during a transition period. This role will partner closely with leadership and employees to ensure continuity across HR operations, benefits, payroll support, recruiting, and employee relations.
Responsibilities- HR Operations & Employee Relations
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees and managers
- Support employee relations matters, ensuring confidentiality and proper documentation
- Assist with policy guidance, compliance, and issue resolution
- Manage employee offboarding, including documentation and separation processes
- Benefits Administration
- Oversee medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and related benefit programs
- Manage new hire enrollments, qualifying life events, and terminations
- Audit monthly benefit invoices and resolve discrepancies with vendors and brokers
- Support open enrollment and employee benefit inquiries
- Maintain benefit systems and reporting accuracy
- Payroll & HR Data Support
- Partner with payroll to support reporting, PTO accruals, wage changes, and compliance notices
- Maintain accurate HRIS data and employee records (digital and physical)
- Prepare regular HR and payroll-related reports for leadership
- Recruiting & Onboarding
- Support full-cycle recruiting for corporate and field roles as needed
- Assist with offer preparation, background checks, and reference checks
- Partner with managers to ensure roles align with budget and business needs
- Support onboarding processes and system access
- Training & Process Improvement
- Provide training and ongoing support for HR systems and tools
- Update SOPs, documentation, and internal HR processes as needed
- Support company culture initiatives and internal events
- 5+ years of hands-on HR experience in a generalist or manager-level role
- Strong experience with benefits administration and employee relations
- Working knowledge of HRIS and payroll systems (Paychex, Bamboo
HR, Ease Central or similar) - Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Highly organized, calm under pressure, and adaptable
- Comfortable balancing day-to-day execution with process improvement
