Position: HR Manager (Temporary)

Overview

Ultimate Staffing is hiring an HR Manager (Temporary). This position is located in Irvine, CA and is a hybrid role, Monday-Thursday in office, Friday WFH.

Pay Rate Range: $52.88-$57.69, $110k-$120k annually

We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to provide hands-on support during a transition period. This role will partner closely with leadership and employees to ensure continuity across HR operations, benefits, payroll support, recruiting, and employee relations.

Responsibilities
  • HR Operations & Employee Relations
    • Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees and managers
    • Support employee relations matters, ensuring confidentiality and proper documentation
    • Assist with policy guidance, compliance, and issue resolution
    • Manage employee offboarding, including documentation and separation processes
  • Benefits Administration
    • Oversee medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and related benefit programs
    • Manage new hire enrollments, qualifying life events, and terminations
    • Audit monthly benefit invoices and resolve discrepancies with vendors and brokers
    • Support open enrollment and employee benefit inquiries
    • Maintain benefit systems and reporting accuracy
  • Payroll & HR Data Support
    • Partner with payroll to support reporting, PTO accruals, wage changes, and compliance notices
    • Maintain accurate HRIS data and employee records (digital and physical)
    • Prepare regular HR and payroll-related reports for leadership
  • Recruiting & Onboarding
    • Support full-cycle recruiting for corporate and field roles as needed
    • Assist with offer preparation, background checks, and reference checks
    • Partner with managers to ensure roles align with budget and business needs
    • Support onboarding processes and system access
  • Training & Process Improvement
    • Provide training and ongoing support for HR systems and tools
    • Update SOPs, documentation, and internal HR processes as needed
    • Support company culture initiatives and internal events
Requirements
  • 5+ years of hands-on HR experience in a generalist or manager-level role
  • Strong experience with benefits administration and employee relations
  • Working knowledge of HRIS and payroll systems (Paychex, Bamboo

    HR, Ease Central or similar)
  • Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
