Summary
The Benefits Administrator is responsible for administering and coordinating employee benefit programs for the organization, including benefits operations, employee support, leave administration, and HRIS benefits management. This role supports benefit plan compliance, conducts audits to ensure data accuracy, and collaborates with internal departments and external vendors to support efficient benefits administration processes. This position also provides backup support for Workers’ Compensation administration and related employee leave coordination.

Compensation

$68,143 - $74,338 yearly salary range. (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)

Responsibilities

  • Administers and coordinates company-sponsored employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, and other employee benefit offerings.
  • Serves as a primary HR resource for employee benefits inquiries and provides guidance regarding benefit eligibility, enrollments, qualifying life events, leave coordination, and company benefit policies.
  • Coordinates day-to-day benefits operations, including employee enrollments, status changes, terminations, carrier communications, and HRIS benefit administration.
  • Reviews, reconciles, and processes monthly benefit invoices and works closely with Accounting, Payroll, HRIS, and external vendors to ensure timely and accurate payment processing.
  • Coordinates and supports the annual Open Enrollment process, including maintaining benefit plan information within the HRIS system, updating employee communication materials, auditing enrollment data, and supporting employee education sessions.
  • Conducts regular audits of HRIS and benefits data to ensure accuracy of employee records, payroll deductions, carrier eligibility information, and benefits compliance.
  • Reviews and coordinates employee leave of absence requests to ensure appropriate documentation is submitted and processes are administered in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.
  • Maintains, tracks, and updates leave of absence records and employee leave statuses within the HRIS system. Provides employees with guidance and support throughout the leave of absence and accommodation process, including communication regarding documentation requirements and benefit continuation.
  • Coordinates with internal departments, managers, payroll, and external vendors as needed to support leave administration and employee benefit processes.
  • Maintains employee records and HR documentation to ensure completeness, accuracy, and confidentiality.
    Assists with employment verification requests and related employee documentation.
    Provides backup support for Workers’ Compensation administration, including coordinating claims processes, communicating with employees and carriers, and maintaining related documentation.
    Acts as a liaison between the organization, employees, managers, and Workers’ Compensation carriers to support claim coordination and return-to-work processes.
    Supports compliance with applicable Workers’ Compensation policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Provide administrative support for 401(k) plan operations, compliance activities, and employee communications as needed.
    Collaborates with the Organizational Development team to support employee wellness initiatives, wellness events, and employee engagement
