The Senior Compensation Analyst will be a key member of Irvine Company’s Compensation team and will be responsible to assist with the design, development, implementation, and administration of compensation policies, procedures, and programs. The Senior Analyst will research relevant labor markets/sectors to ensure market competitiveness and help manage the annual merit review and bonus process.

Job Duties:

  • Conduct job analysis and evaluations to determine appropriate market pricing, job family classification, bonus plan and FLSA status of positions company wide.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the company – especially with the HR business partners, recruiting, and managers/supervisors.
  • Partner with HR business partners and the HRIS team to create, modify and manage job codes, position codes, job families and job descriptions.
  • Build relationships with third-party consulting firms and participate in their compensation benchmarking surveys.
  • Administer compensation standards, practices, procedures and policies while making recommendations for improved efficiencies.
  • Participate in all aspects of the development and administration of annual merit increase and bonus process.
  • Manage and administer the third party market pricing tool: data uploads, audits, data aging, survey management, and participate in system enhancement webinars.
  • Participate in or lead the design, analysis, administration, and compliance of management, sales, and other company incentive plans
  • Provide support for company budgeting / forecasting process
  • Also responsible for a broad array of ad hoc company wide projects such as communicating pay and reward programs, workers’ compensation and 401K auditing, design and administration of Compensation 101 training, maintaining the voluntary deferral database, conducting telephone surveys and market research/analysis for the businesses and other projects as the business may require.

Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related discipline required.
  • Five to eight years of experience as an analyst preferred or any combination of training and experience that has provided the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel required; proficiency in MS Access, MS Word, and Google G Suite desired.
  • Experience with HRIS reporting; SAP/Success Factors specific experience desired.
  • Experience using Market Pay or other market pricing tool desired.
  • Strong problem solving, decision making, organizational and analytical skills.
  • Very strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
