Human Resources Business Partner

A leading medical device organization, currently experiencing exponential growth on a global scale is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner! The HRBP will serve as a trusted business partner and advisor to leaders and employees, providing guidance and hands-on support on a broad range of employee relations matters, in alignment with organizational practices and policies. This is a fast-moving role, in a dynamic organization requiring an HR professional with strong relationship building skills and deep understanding of HR fundamentals, with an emphasis on management coaching, recruiting, and employee relations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR partner for assigned client groups, while supporting all business functions.
• Partner with leaders to understand business objectives and implement HR strategies.
• Provide guidance on employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, investigations, corrective action, policy interpretation, and performance management.
• Conduct workplace investigations and recommend appropriate resolutions.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition and hiring managers to support recruiting efforts for client groups.
• Participate in interviews and hiring decisions to ensure selection of high-quality talent.
• Support workforce planning and staffing strategies during periods of rapid organizational growth.
• Partner with onboarding team to ensure new employees receive a positive experience.
• Support employee recognition, development, and culture-building initiatives.
• Analyze employee trends and recommend solutions to improve engagement and retention.
• Maintain a visible HR presence throughout the organization, particularly within Production, to build strong relationships with employees and leaders.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Support HR programs including promotions, transfers, leaves of absence, accommodations, performance management, organizational changes, and policy implementation.
• Partner with Payroll, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, and other HR functions to deliver a seamless employee experience.
• Identify opportunities to improve HR programs, processes, and employee experience.
• Utilize workforce data and HR metrics to identify trends and provide recommendations to business leaders.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Human Resources experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, operations, or production environments preferred.
• Experience in medical device, biotechnology, life sciences, pharmaceutical industries.
• Advanced working knowledge of California employment laws and HR best practices.
