Overview
Site Reliability Engineer (Cleared, Cloud & Mission-Critical Systems)
Employment: Full-time
Clearance: Active US Security Clearance required, Secret or higher. Candidates without an active clearance cannot be considered.
This role is for engineers who like their work to actually matter.
You will be building, scaling, and operating highly secure cloud infrastructure that supports real-world, mission-critical systems. The environments are complex, regulated, and high-stakes, and that is exactly why this role is interesting.
If you enjoy ownership, deep technical problems, and working in environments where reliability and security are not buzzwords, this is worth a conversation.
Responsibilities- Designing and running highly available cloud infrastructure across secure AWS environments, including Gov Cloud and classified enclaves
- Owning reliability, performance, and uptime for systems that support government and mission operations
- Building automation and tooling that removes manual intervention and scales with growth
- Supporting deployments into restricted government environments, including on-site systems when required
- Driving best practices around monitoring, incident response, and on-call readiness
- Working closely with software, platform, and operations engineers to keep systems running at peak performance
- Strong experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Dev Ops, or Platform Engineering roles
- Deep hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes, containerized workloads, and modern cloud architectures
- Experience working in secure or regulated environments such as Gov Cloud, IL enclaves, C2E, or similar
- Solid infrastructure-as-code experience, Terraform or equivalent
- Comfort working with observability stacks, CI/CD pipelines, and Linux-based systems
- Strong understanding of networking, identity and access management, and cloud security best practices
- Active US Security Clearance at Secret level or higher is mandatory
- US Citizenship is required
- Candidates must be able to work in cleared environments from day one
- You are not inheriting chaos, you are helping define how reliability is done as the platform scales
- You will work on systems that directly support national-level missions, not internal tooling that never ships
- Engineers here have real influence over architecture, tooling, and long-term technical direction
- Strong benefits, serious focus on work-life balance, and a team that values engineering quality over noise
If you are a cleared SRE or Dev Ops engineer who wants challenging work, modern infrastructure, and genuine mission impact, this is one of the more interesting opportunities in the market right now.
