Job Title: Technical Lead – Auto Sys Migration (On-Premises to AWS)
Location: Irvine, CA (4 days onsite/week)
Duration: Contract
This Technical Lead role is responsible for migrating Broadcom Auto Sys Workload Automation from on-premises to AWS Cloud, ensuring minimal downtime and secure, scalable architecture. The lead will design the AWS Auto Sys architecture, map job dependencies, automate, and migrate historical data, leveraging AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS) for a cloud-native, containerized environment.
Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead to lead our infrastructure migration project, moving our on-premise Auto Sys workload automation environment to Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud. You will be responsible for end-to-end migration strategy, architecture design, execution, and troubleshooting, ensuring a seamless, high-performance, and secure transition.
Key Responsibilities- Strategy & Architecture: Design and implement highly available, scalable, and secure Auto Sys infrastructure in AWS.
- Migration Execution: Execute on-premise to AWS Auto Sys migration, including application servers, database (Postgre
SQL/Oracle), and client agents. - Configuration & Optimization: Configure Auto Sys in the cloud to utilize AWS-native features; migrate legacy job definitions into AWS-compatible formats.
- Automation: Utilize AWS services (e.g., AWS Lambda, Terraform, Cloud Formation) to automate the migration process and infrastructure provisioning.
- Documentation & Testing: Prepare detailed technical specifications, migration roadmaps, and conduct rigorous testing to ensure zero disruption.
- Mentorship: Guide junior engineers and team members through the migration process.
- Auto Sys Expertise: 10+ years of experience in Auto Sys Workload Automation administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- AWS Cloud
Skills:
3+ years of experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, Cloud Formation). - Migration
Experience:
Proven track record of successful infrastructure migration from on-premise to AWS. - Scripting: Proficiency in Bash, Python, or Power Shell.
- Database: Knowledge of SQL and experience with AWS database migration (RDS/Postgre
SQL).
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Strong understanding of network security, including VPN tunnels or Direct Connect.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or similar certification.
- Experience with containerization (Kubernetes, Docker) in a cloud environment.
