Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a highly motivated Solutions Architect to help accelerate our growing business as part of the World Wide Public Sector practice.
Responsibilities- Own the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects.
- Define implementation architectures, respond to RFPs, and develop deep expertise in AWS technologies.
- Act as a subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services.
- Provide exceptional technical design and thought leadership to customers while working with a world‑class sales and business development team.
- Lead efforts to capture and share best‑practice knowledge among the AWS Solution Architect community.
- Technical presentation experience – Whiteboard, small and large group presentations.
- Web services development/deployment and cloud computing experience.
- Web site/services operations, management, and security responsibilities.
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
- 8+ years of experience in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics.
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or experience with AWS services including S3, Redshift, Sage Maker, EMR, Kinesis, Lambda, and EC2.
- 1+ year of technology‑related sales, business development, or sales engineering/consulting experience.
- Knowledge of security and compliance standards including HIPAA and GDPR.
- 6+ years of cross‑functional experience across several teams or a Bachelor's degree.
- 2+ years of experience in data center or mission‑critical facilities such as hospital, military, or public safety facilities.
Job duties include working safely with others, adhering to standards of excellence, communicating effectively and respectfully, and following all federal, state, and local laws and company policies. Base salary ranges are provided. Your compensation will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Additional benefits include health insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
