Azure Virtual Desktop Engineer – INTL India

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Azure Virtual Desktop Engineer to support and enhance an enterprise-scale AVD environment built primarily on shared compute. This role focuses on platform maintenance, enhancements, scalability, user experience, and incident response. The ideal candidate has strong hands‑on experience with AVD supporting complex enterprise environments and continuously improving AVD platform capabilities.

• Support and enhance enterprise Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments using shared compute.
• Maintain and optimize the AVD platform to ensure performance, stability, and scalability for 600+ users.
• Perform ongoing platform maintenance, upgrades, patching, and configuration management.
• Implement enhancements and improvements to existing AVD environments, with a focus on user experience and operational efficiency.
• Manage and optimize FSLogix profiles, storage performance, and configuration enhancements.
• Support shared compute environments, ensuring efficient resource utilization and platform reliability.
• Troubleshoot AVD issues related to sessions, profiles, performance, and platform components.
• Integrate and support secure enterprise access solutions, including Zscaler cloud experience.
• Partner with infrastructure, security, and cloud teams to align with enterprise standards and requirements.

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience supporting Azure Virtual Desktop in shared compute environments
• Experience supporting large‑scale, enterprise AVD deployments and enhancements
• Strong working knowledge of FSLogix (profile containers, enhancements, troubleshooting)
• Experience with Zscaler
• Experience maintaining and enhancing complex AVD platforms in production
• Strong troubleshooting skills across AVD, compute, storage, and user session components
