Sr. Automation Engineer - Seismic Platform

Job Description
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
Technical Skills Needed
• Seismic livedocs
• Seismic liveforms
• Seismic document generator express
• Understanding platform integrations across systems
• Understanding data mapping and architecture
Soft Skills Needed
• Able to map and lay out very complex workflows
• Impact analysis for automation recommendations
• Documentation excellence Visualization skills (to explain current/future-state workflows)
Roles & Responsibilities
Phase 1 - Discovery & Documentation
• Document current content automation implementation end-to-end
• Map Seismic livedocs, liveforms, document generator express usage
• Understand current folder structure, metadata schema, and content profiles
• Document integration points as they relate to content automation
• Map upstream/downstream content and data workflows
• Document current pain points, redundancies, and operational risks
Phase 2 - Optimization & Automation Strategy
• Identify automation opportunities with Seismic tools
• Propose future-state content models and metadata improvements
• Recommend scalable workflows for content lifecycle management
• Design permission and tagging policy improvements
• Provide requirements for future content automation (e.g., web hooks, scripts, or in house api based solutions)
• Partner with Reporting Analyst to measure content usage → inform automation priorities
