Data Analyst, Data Science Manager, Business Systems/ Tech Analyst
Our client is an EV charging equipment manufacturing and fleet analytics company located in south OC. They are urgently seeking a Business Analyst to support analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision‑making across Field Service, Operations, and Customer Success teams. You will work closely with senior analysts and data engineers to turn raw data into actionable insights that improve uptime, reduce service costs, and enhance customer performance.
This position is reported to the Director of Engineering, and is ideal for someone early in their career who wants to build strong foundations in data analysis, business operations, and analytics within a high‑growth EV infrastructure environment.
THIS POSITIONS REQUIRES 5 DAYS A WEEK ONSITE IN OFFICE
Responsibilities- Support analysis of charger telemetry and service data to identify:
- Basic failure trends and patterns
- Drivers of downtime and service events
- Build and maintain recurring reports and dashboards (SLA metrics, uptime, service activity)
- Write and maintain SQL queries to extract and validate data
- Assist in developing dashboards using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar
- Partner with senior team members to:
- Define and track key performance metrics
- Improve data quality and reporting consistency
- Support ad hoc analyses for:
- Service cost trends (e.g., truck rolls, parts usage)
- Warranty and maintenance performance
- Prepare clear summaries and visualizations for internal stakeholders and customer reporting
- Help document data definitions, reporting logic, and business processes
- Support additional FP&A, Business Operations, and Field Service projects as needed, including budget planning, business process improvement, ROI analysis, and other ad hoc initiatives
- 0-3 years of experience in business analytics, data analysis, or related fields (internships included)
- Basic proficiency in SQL and Excel
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Ability to communicate insights clearly and concisely - Eagerness to learn and grow in a data‑driven environment
- Experience with Python (pandas, basic data analysis)
- Exposure to large datasets or operational data
- Interest in EV charging, energy, or industrial systems
- Internship or project experience involving data analysis or reporting
- 75-90k Base Salary
