At AWS, we are hiring Application Modernization Solution Architects to work with enterprise account teams and customers to accelerate their cloud adoption journey.
Key Responsibilities- Work with customer and partner leadership to qualify, develop, and close deals around migrating and modernizing applications.
- Design modern target architectures optimized for business agility, innovation, performance, resiliency, and cost.
- Deliver micro services and event driven architectures using managed services and cloud native capabilities.
- Engage with development, infrastructure, security and IT operations teams at the customer to identify repeatable patterns and architectures for cloud migration.
- Collaborate with Business Development, Professional Services, and Partner team to manage customer progression through AWS Migration Acceleration Program.
- Mentor other AWS solution architects on migration best practices.
- Co‑develop new go‑to‑market approaches and influence future iterations of the AWS platform.
- Engage C‑level executives and lead enterprise cloud migration strategies.
- 8+ years of experience in technology domain areas such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data & analytics.
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructures.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent.
- 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience.
- Knowledge of SAP systems and their architecture and infrastructure needs.
- Experience working with end‑user or developer communities.
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in the software or internet industries.
