Role Summary
The Manager of AI & Emerging Technology Risk plays a vital role in client‑facing consulting. This leader combines AI engineering and solution architecture with a deep understanding of Risk functions such as operational risk, model risk management, compliance, fraud/financial crime, credit risk, and enterprise governance. You will lead engagements to design, develop, and deploy secure and auditable AI/GenAI solutions that meet regulatory expectations.
You will also advise executives and tech teams on risk‑by‑design operating models, controls, and governance.
- Design and implement innovative AI/GenAI solutions for various Risk use cases, including risk intelligence and fraud detection.
- Engineer secure architectures for AI platforms, ensuring resilience and embedded guardrails for data protection.
- Apply Responsible AI principles through continuous monitoring and transparent documentation.
- Translate Risk requirements into actionable technical objectives throughout the AI lifecycle.
- Map AI/GenAI risks and controls to meet policy and regulatory expectations.
- Develop governance models that integrate with software development and operations processes.
- Collaborate with engineering and data teams to design comprehensive system workflows and integrate AI services.
- Establish strong MLOps practices, including automated testing and version control.
- Identify and remediate gaps in production readiness for AI systems.
- Lead client engagements to align stakeholders on target‑state AI/GenAI architectures.
- Create risk‑focused training materials and conduct sessions for various audiences.
- Mentor junior team members and ensure high‑quality deliverables.
- Contribute to business development through proposal writing and the creation of reusable assets.
Skills & Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
- 5-7+ years experience in delivering production technology solutions, with a focus on AI/ML in risk or compliance environments.
- Relevant professional certifications in cloud platforms or AI.
- Hands‑on experience with modern ML/GenAI technologies and cloud infrastructure.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and the ability to assess risks.
- Proven consulting skills with the ability to manage client relationships and deliver impactful insights.
- Excellent communication skills to translate complex technical concepts into clear business narratives.

CompensationCompensation Range: $101,000 - $203,000, with a discretionary bonus based on performance.
