Sr IT Vendor Manager

Role Overview

Ingram Micro, a global technology distribution company, is seeking a Senior IT Vendor Manager to lead vendor strategy, governance, and performance initiatives across strategic technology vendors.

• Establish and manage vendor strategy and governance, ensuring alignment with Ingram Micro’s strategic objectives.
• Oversee vendor contracts, commercial governance, risk, compliance, audits, controls, and performance management.
• Lead outsourcing lifecycle activities: opportunity identification, solution offerings, business case development, transition, training, adoption strategies, and financial reporting.
• Analyze technology spend across software, hardware, cloud, managed services, and external labor; identify license optimization, asset rationalization, and consumption management opportunities.
• Conduct vendor capability assessments, benchmarking, and continuous cost optimization while maintaining service quality.
• Partner with IT portfolios and functional leaders to assess spend, investment patterns, processes, operating models, technology tools, resource utilization, risks, and control effectiveness; provide recommendations to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Perform due diligence, market assessments, RFIs, and vendor capability reviews; develop data‑driven business cases with financial analysis and measurable outcomes.
• Lead governance structures to monitor benefit realization and sustain outcomes across approved initiatives.
• Manage and develop a high‑performing vendor management team, including offshore activities, SLA tracking, deliverables, data collection, and documentation; standardize operating cadences and governance.
• Deliver training programs to upskill internal and vendor teams.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in IT vendor relationship management, vendor governance, performance management, risk profiling, and escalation management.
• Experience with IT Functions Operating Model Transformation, workforce automation, vendor consolidation, application rationalization, and optimization.
• Strong understanding of technology platform and IT vendor management principles, procedures, and best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple vendors, transitions, delivery, and governance simultaneously.
• Experience in managed services delivery management, financial management, and contract management.
• Vendor management certifications preferred (e.g., PMP, ITIL, OCM, CIVM, CVMP).
