Job Summary

We are seeking a QA Engineer with a solid background in API testing and cloud validation to join our fast-paced, collaborative, and innovative engineering team.

You’ll help drive cutting-edge customer and loyalty solutions across digital platforms, enabling marketing automation and customer engagement at scale.

This is a great opportunity to work with a talented team building modern, cloud-native applications and services. You’ll be at the forefront of testing solutions that power personalized campaigns, offer management, loyalty rewards, and CRM integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end and integration testing across distributed micro services and cloud-based platforms.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with architects, developers, analysts, and product managers to deliver quality-first solutions.
• Author and execute detailed manual test cases and contribute to evolving automation coverage.
• Own validation of API workflows, contracts, and payloads, ensuring robustness and reliability.
• Automate API tests using Postman and Python, integrating with CI/CD pipelines when appropriate.
• Validate data across AWS services including SQS, S3, and Dynamo DB.
• Contribute to test strategy and coverage for new marketing tools, promotions engines, and CRM integrations.
• Leverage AI tools to solve problems efficiently, reduce repetitive tasks, and enhance productivity across test execution and reporting.

Minimum Qualifications

• 8–10 years of QA experience with a solid understanding of software testing lifecycle.
• Strong API testing skills using Postman, including test scripting and workflow chaining.
• Proficiency in writing and understanding Python-based API automation scripts.
• Working knowledge of AWS (SQS, S3, Dynamo DB) for backend validation and event-driven testing.
• Ability to read API contracts, construct diverse payloads, and validate responses without step-by-step guidance.
• Familiarity with manual testing methodologies combined with a drive to automate where possible.
• Comfortable using AI-based tools to assist in test planning, defect triage, automation, and repetitive tasks.
• Self-starter mindset with strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Nice to Have

• Prior Point of Sale (POS) testing experience
• Familiarity with Docker, container orchestration, or performance testing tools
• Experience testing micro services architectures

What You'll Be Doing

• Split your time 60/40 between manual testing and automation, with automation growing over time.
• Work independently to identify what needs to be tested—no hand-holding here.
• Help define the Mar Tech testing roadmap—we're not just shipping code; we’re building memorable digital journeys for millions of customers.
