We are seeking an experienced Active Directory / Windows Engineer to join our infrastructure team on a long-term contract basis. You will be responsible for managing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting Active Directory infrastructure and Windows environments for enterprise clients. This is a hybrid position based in Irvine, CA with opportunities for growth and development in a collaborative team environment.
Must Have:- Design, implement, and maintain Active Directory infrastructure
- Manage user accounts, groups, organizational units (OUs), and permissions
- Configure and troubleshoot DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
- Perform user and computer management across domains
- Monitor and optimize network performance and security
- Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Windows systems
- Document configurations, processes, and procedures
- Collaborate with security teams to maintain compliance and security standards
- Participate in system upgrades and migrations
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022)
- Expertise in Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Windows networking
- Experience with user and computer account management
- Knowledge of Windows Security and Active Directory security best practices
- Proficiency with Power Shell scripting
- Understanding of cloud identity solutions (Azure AD/Microsoft Entra )
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery tools
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Contract Type: C2C (Contractor to Contractor)
- Duration:
Long-Term (12+ months) - Work Arrangement:
Hybrid (Irvine, CA office) - Rate: $50-53/hr based on experience and expertise
- Microsoft Certifications (MCSA, MCSE) preferred
