Terran Orbital is seeking a motivated Dev Ops Intern to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Ground Systems Manager, the Dev Ops Intern will help us shift security left for mission‑critical aerospace applications migrating to AWS. As a Dev Ops Intern, you’ll build a reference CI/CD pipeline with integrated security scanning (SAST, DAST, container & dependency scanning), automate ASD STIG compliance checks on every commit, and deliver developer‑friendly docs and dashboards.

• Participate in daily stand‑ups; share progress and blockers
• Pair program with senior engineers (2–4 hrs/week) and submit code reviews
• Build and iterate AWS CI/CD (Code Pipeline/Code Build; EKS where applicable)
• Integrate security scanners (Sonar Qube, OWASP ZAP, Trivy, Snyk) and configure quality gates
• Script automation and tooling (Python/Bash, Git Ops workflows)
• Aggregate and visualize results (e.g., Security Hub, Cloud Watch/Prometheus) into security metrics dashboards
• Weekly Friday demos; document decisions and lessons learned

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or IT
• Able to work full time, onsite in Irvine, CA for 8 – 12 weeks starting in June 2026 (no relocation stipend, must be local).
• Git experience (Git Hub/Git Lab/Bitbucket) and comfort with Linux/Unix CLI
• Understanding of cloud fundamentals (AWS is a plus)
• U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance.

• Hands‑on with AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, Git Lab CI)
• Docker & container security fundamentals
• Exposure to application security (OWASP Top 10, Dev Sec Ops ) or security tooling
• Personal projects showing automation/deployment;
  Git Hub portfolio with code samples

• Freshman/Sophomore - $25 per hour
• Junior - $27.50 per hour
• Senior/Graduate - $30 per hour

Your actual level and base salary will be determined case‑by‑case and may vary based on the job‑related qualification, knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
