Senior Solutions Architect, California Higher Education

Your broad responsibilities will include:

• Owning the technical engagement and ensuring the ultimate success of specific implementation projects.
• Defining implementation architectures, responding to RFPs, and developing deep expertise in AWS technologies.
• Serving as a subject‑matter expert on security related to customer applications and services.
• Providing exceptional technical design and thought leadership to customers while working closely with a world‑class sales and business development team.
• Leading efforts to capture and share best‑practice knowledge among the AWS solution architect community.

• 8+ years of experience in specific technology domain areas (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructure.

• Bachelor's degree or above in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or equivalent experience.
• Experience with AWS services such as S3, Redshift, Sagemaker, EMR, Kinesis, Lambda, and EC2.
• 1+ years of technology‑related sales, business development, or sales engineering/consulting experience.
• Knowledge of security and compliance standards including HIPAA and GDPR.
• 6+ years of working cross‑functionally across several teams.
• 2+ years of data center or mission‑critical facilities experience (e.g., hospital, military facility, public safety facility).
• Excellent technical presentation skills – whiteboard, small and large group presentations.
• Web services development/deployment experience and proven cloud computing skills.
• Experience in web site/services operations, management, and security.
• Ability to travel 30%.

Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
