We areseekinga highly skilled Systems Engineer III – Microsoft Cloud & Infrastructure to serve as a senior technical resource for Microsoft cloud services, server infrastructure, identity management, backup and disaster recovery, and escalated support.

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in Microsoft technologies and MSP environments, with the ability to resolve complex technical issues, mentor junior engineers, improve technical standards, andprovidepractical guidance to clients and internal teams.

This role focuses primarily on systems, cloud, identity, infrastructure reliability, documentation, and operational improvement. Primary ownership of networking, WAN, wireless,firewall, VoIP, and telecom platforms is expected to sit with a separate Network & Security role.

• Serve as a senior escalation point for complex technical issues involving Microsoft 365, Windows Server, cloud services, identity platforms, and backup infrastructure.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis across servers, cloud services, authentication systems, endpoint systems, and client environments.
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and support staff.
• Create customer-ready summaries, technical recommendations, and remediation plans.
• Support service reviews and escalation discussions byidentifyingpractical next steps and long-term remediation opportunities.

• Design and recommend scalable infrastructure, cloud, and identity solutions that align with client business and technical requirements.
• Evaluate existing environments and recommend improvements to reliability, security, performance, and supportability.
• Establish and promote technical standards, best practices, and repeatable configurations across supported environments.
• Contribute to standardization initiatives that improve consistency, efficiency, andengineereffectiveness.

• Lead the administration and optimization of Windows Server environments.
• Support Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, DFS, file services, and identity infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot domain controllers, authentication issues, replication problems, file permissions, and server performance concerns.
• Support environment transitions and inherited infrastructure stabilization efforts.
• Maintain system reliability, performance, and operational readiness.

• Administer and support Microsoft 365 environments, including:
• Exchange Online
• SharePoint Online
• Microsoft Teams
• One Drive
• Entra
• Manage user lifecycle processes including onboarding, offboarding, licensing, and access management.
• Troubleshoot email delivery, authentication, collaboration, permissions, and synchronization issues.
• Support Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Remote Desktop Services (RDS) environments.
• Support Microsoft 365 tenant migrations, onboarding activities, cloud adoption, and platform modernization efforts.

• Implement and support:
• Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
• Conditional Access policies
• Identity governance controls
• Access management controls
• Assist with security investigations, remediation activities, and policy-related troubleshooting.
• Support endpoint security tools including
  
  Huntress,Sentinel One, and related platforms.
• Promote security best practices and help organizations improve their security posture.
• Participate in security reviews and compliance-related initiatives.

• Administer and support backup and business continuity platforms, including Datto,Axcient, and comparable solutions.
• Monitor backup success and remediation requirements.
