Role OverviewInformation Technology (IT) Support Specialist – responsible for providing technical support to end users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and maintaining company IT infrastructure.
Responsibilities- Provide technical support to end users, troubleshooting and researching hardware and software issues on desktop or laptop systems.
- Respond to IT Help Desk support tickets in a timely manner.
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to the company’s IT infrastructure and support processes.
- Maintain an up‑to‑date inventory of all hardware and software assets.
- Manage onboarding and off‑boarding functions, including account creation/disabling, communication, and hardware deployment/recovery in collaboration with HR and Facilities.
- Configure and deploy systems for Windows, Linux, and macOS endpoints and peripherals.
- Travel 25% to Silvus office locations, including Headquarters in West Los Angeles, San Diego, and Culver City.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3+ years of experience installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining software and hardware installations, upgrades, and related procedures.
- Proficient PC skills in Windows and iOS environments.
- Experience with Layer 1 networking and cabling.
- Experience installing/uninstalling and licensing/de‑licensing enterprise software.
- Highly proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Entra, and Microsoft Intune.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
- Team‑oriented, able to support departmental policies and procedures with effective communication.
- U.S. Citizen status required due to government contracts; employment contingent upon successful background check and drug test.
- In progress or completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Experience in a fast‑paced office environment.
- Linux and macOS skills.
Physical Requirements
- Office environment with occasional exposure to heat, cold, and allergens during field demonstrations.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., perform bending, reaching, kneeling, or squatting to access shelves.
Hourly rate: $31.25 – $36.06.
