Job Description
Paid Media Specialist
About the job
We are looking for a Paid Media Specialist to own our performance advertising across search and social. This is a strategy-plus-execution role: you'll set the direction for how clients spend, build and optimize the campaigns yourself, and be accountable for the numbers.
Paid search will be the main focus of this role, with social experience a large plus. You should have hands-on experience building and optimizing Google Ads campaigns, reviewing performance data, managing budgets, and making decisions based on results. You should also have enough experience with Meta Ads to independently launch, monitor, and optimize campaigns. Experience with Linked In or Programmatic DSPs are a strong plus.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Build, manage, and optimize Google Ads campaigns across Search, Performance Max, Display, and You Tube
- Conduct keyword research, write ad copy, manage negative keywords, and review search terms
- Monitor campaign budgets, pacing, bids, conversion volume, CPA, and ROAS
- Launch and manage social campaigns across multiple platforms as required
- Review performance regularly and identify practical optimization opportunities
- Assist with conversion tracking and troubleshoot basic tracking issues
- Use GA4, Google Tag Manager, and reporting platforms to evaluate performance
- Prepare clear performance updates for internal teams and clients
- Stay organized while managing multiple accounts and priorities
- Partner with Dev to get pixels, tags, and web events deployed correctly; validate via QA before/after launch.
What We’re Looking For
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on paid media experience, preferably in an agency environment
- Strong working knowledge of Google Ads, additional platforms a plus
- Experience managing social campaigns independently
- Experience with keyword research, search query analysis, audience targeting, and budget management
- Familiarity with GA4 and Google Tag Manager
- Strong attention to detail, especially when working with budgets, targeting, and conversion tracking
- Ability to explain performance clearly without over complicating it
- Comfortable asking questions, taking feedback, and learning from more senior team members
Nice to Have
- Experience with call tracking platforms like Call Rail, Liine, Invoca, etc.
- Experience with Freshpaint or similar
- Experience with programmatic DSPs
- Experience with Looker Studio or similar reporting tools
- Familiarity with Google Ads Editor
- Basic knowledge of CRM data or offline conversion tracking
- Experience working with healthcare, lead generation, or ecommerce accounts
What Success Looks Like
You are dependable, curious, and comfortable working directly inside advertising platforms. You catch issues before they become problems, understand the reason behind your optimizations, and take ownership of your work.
You do not need to know everything on day one. We are looking for someone who is comfortable asking questions and has a desire to learn and grow with the team.
