Job Description & How to Apply Below

The Trade Desk is a global technology company and the world’s leading independent platform for digital advertising, with nearly 4,000 employees across more than 30 offices. Our technology helps advertisers reach the right audiences across the open internet — from streaming TV and podcasts to mobile apps, news, and more. Advertising powers the content people love. By making it more transparent, effective, and responsible, we help support trusted journalism, quality entertainment, and creators worldwide.

The world’s brands and agencies rely on us to reach their customers and grow their businesses responsibly. The scale of our platform brings unique technical challenges — from processing massive datasets in real time to building systems that operate reliably on a global scale. When you work here, your impact is worldwide. We welcome diverse perspectives, encourage curiosity, and build teams that learn from one another.

If you’re driven to solve meaningful challenges, we’d love to meet you.

We are looking for a hands‑on Anaplan Model Builder to build, scale and optimize Anaplan solutions for The Trade Desk. In this role, you will partner closely with teams across Commissions, FP&A, Accounting, and external partners to design, build and enhance Anaplan models that automate business processes, drive smarter decisions, improve operational efficiency, and support business growth. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex business problems, building elegant models, and making a visible impact through Anaplan system solutions.

What

you'll do:
  • Design, build, and enhance Anaplan models that support high-impact business processes across commissions, FP&A, accounting, and related business functions.
  • Develop sophisticated calculations, business logic, and model structures that are accurate and scalable.
  • Optimize core Anaplan components, including modules, lists, line items, dashboards, and data actions, to ensure strong performance and maintainability.
  • Support imports, exports, and integrations, and proactively troubleshoot data and process issues to keep the platform running reliably.
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand business goals, translate requirements into thoughtful technical solutions, and deliver enhancements that create measurable values.
  • Create clear documentation for models, business rules, and operating processes to support long-term scalability, compliance, and knowledge sharing.
  • Identify opportunities to automate workflows, simplify user experiences, and improve overall model efficiency and usability.
  • Contribute to testing, root cause analysis, and user enablement in an Agile environment, helping ensure high-quality solutions from design through rollout.
  • Support audit and control requirements through strong documentation, reliable data traceability, and well-governed platform practices.
Who you are:
  • 1+ years of hands‑on experience building and maintaining Anaplan models.
  • Anaplan Model Builder certification required.
  • Strong understanding of Anaplan platform capabilities, modeling best practices, and multi-dimensional design concepts.
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into Anaplan models, including lists, modules, line items, actions, and calculations.
  • Experience writing complex formulas and troubleshooting modeling or data issues in Anaplan, Excel, or related business modeling tools.
  • Ability to work independently to design and develop modeling solutions with limited supervision.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to reconcile data discrepancies, break down complex problems, and identify underlying business needs.
  • BS in Business Analytics, Finance, Information Systems, Accounting or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document processes and collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.
  • Experience supporting commissions, financial planning, forecasting, accounting, or other finance-related business processes desired.
  • Familiarity with financial systems, financial modeling, and core accounting or FP&A concepts desired.
