Data Analyst
Location: Irvine, CA
Pay Rate: $35.00–$40.00/hour
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, regular business hours
Position Type: Approximately 6-month contract
Seeking a highly technical Data Analyst / Data & Analytics Administrator to support data analysis, reporting, predictive analytics, and an upcoming used-vehicle pricing initiative
. The ideal candidate has strong SQL and Python skills and experience working with large datasets, statistics, and business intelligence.
- Query, analyze, organize, and validate large datasets using SQL and Python
. - Support Power BI dashboards, recurring reporting, and ad hoc analytics
. - Perform data cleansing, transformation, and validation.
- Support forecasting, predictive analytics, financial modeling, and what-if analysis
. - Assist with development of a used-vehicle pricing model and analysis of multiple data inputs.
- Analyze KPIs and provide insights to senior management.
- Collaborate with Finance, Product Planning, Big Data, AI/ML, and data engineering teams.
- Translate business and reporting requirements into data requirements and models.
- Maintain dashboards, data feeds, reporting, and data integrations.
- Document analytical processes and results.
- 3+ year of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, data science, or a related field;
- Strong hands-on SQL skills; SQL assessment required.
- Strong Python skills;
Pandas/Num Py experience preferred. - Knowledge of statistics, data structures, and relational databases
. - Experience working with large datasets and data cleansing/validation.
- Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools.
- Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
. - Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Automotive,
remarketing, CPO, fleet, auction, or used-vehicle pricing experience. - AI/ML, Big Data, predictive analytics, or vehicle valuation experience.
- Oracle or similar relational database experience.
- Financial modeling, forecasting, pricing, incentives, or residual analytics experience.
Automotive experience can be taught—the priority is a strong technical and analytical foundation.
