An established California-based law firm is seeking an Employment Associate Attorney to join its Orange County office. This role offers the opportunity to handle a wide range of complex civil litigation matters with a strong focus on employment law.
The ideal candidate is a motivated, detail‑oriented professional who brings a proactive and positive attitude, strong analytical and writing skills, and the ability to manage a busy caseload independently. This person thrives in a collaborative environment, communicates effectively with clients, builds lasting relationships, and is committed to continuous professional growth.
Key Responsibilities- Provide legal representation and strategic counsel to clients
- Advise on federal and California employment laws, including wage and hour, harassment, discrimination, disability, wrongful termination, and workplace restraining orders
- Draft motions, employment agreements, policies, handbooks, and related documents
- Handle litigation defense and prosecution of civil claims
- Maintain strong client relationships and respond to client needs
- Participate in professional organizations to support business development
- Represent the firm internally and externally as needed
- Attend court appearances and meetings across Southern California
- J.D. and active California Bar license
- 3+ years of attorney experience
- Experience in employment law and/or employment litigation
- Strong research, analytical, and writing skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to manage deadlines, multitask, and prioritize a caseload
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Commitment to professional development and continuous learning
- Experience with real estate litigation (preferred)
- Familiarity with Pro Law or similar legal management systems (preferred)
