Complex Business and Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney

This role offers the opportunity to support all stages of the litigation process under the guidance of senior attorneys. The Litigation Associate will engage in drafting pleadings and motions, conducting legal research, and managing discovery. Responsibilities also include assisting with depositions and preparing for hearings, trials, and alternative dispute resolution. Effective client communication and case management are essential, as is collaboration with the broader legal team.

This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are eager to contribute to pro bono initiatives.

Salary Range: $140,000 - $180,000 / Year DOE

• Support all stages of litigation, from initial client meetings to case resolution, under the guidance of senior attorneys
• Draft and review motions, pleadings, and legal memoranda
• Assist with depositions, including preparing outlines and coordinating logistics
• Participate in discovery, including drafting and responding to interrogatories, requests for production, and subpoenas
• Conduct legal research to support case strategy and motion practice
• Attend court hearings and assist with trial preparation
• Communicate regularly with clients regarding case updates and strategy, with supervision
• Help assist settlement conferences, mediations, and arbitrations
• Maintain case files, deadlines, and calendars in coordination with the litigation team
• Work collaboratively with paralegals, staff, and more senior attorneys on active matters
• Engage in firm-sponsored pro bono work as opportunities arise

• Must have 2+ years litigation experience
• Admitted to the California Bar and in good standing
• Familiarity with motion practice and courtroom procedures
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong legal research and analytical abilities
• Capable of handling multiple assignments and deadlines with appropriate supervision
• Collaborative, team-oriented attitude
• Experience with high-value or complex litigation is helpful, but not required
• Trial experience is preferred
