Access Talent Solutions is partnering with a respected law firm to identify an experienced Litigation Legal Secretary to support attorneys in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment. This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented professional with strong litigation support experience who thrives on precision, organization, and proactive attorney support.
Key Responsibilities- Format, proofread, and finalize briefs, pleadings, correspondence, and other legal documents in compliance with court, agency, and judge‑specific requirements
- Generate, update, and maintain Tables of Contents and Tables of Authorities
- Conduct legal research as needed and ensure filings comply with local, state, federal, agency‑specific, and arbitrator rules
- File and submit legal documents with administrative agencies and state and federal courts, including electronic filing systems
- Prepare, coordinate, and process service of legal documents (electronic and traditional), including drafting and finalizing proofs of service
- Support team with trial preparation
- Maintain and organize electronic client files and case documents in accordance with firm document‑naming and filing protocols
- Review, track, and accurately file matter‑related emails in a timely manner
- Manage attorney‑specific case lists, charts, and reports; track case statuses and outcomes
- Coordinate meetings, depositions, mediations, interviews, vendor and facility reservations, and attorney travel arrangements
- Proof, revise, and release attorney time entries, including transferring suspense time and ensuring accuracy and billing compliance
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Legal Secretary, preferably supporting business litigation attorneys
- Experience with trial preparation required
- Strong working knowledge of litigation procedures, legal terminology, and legal documents
- Demonstrated experience filing in state and federal courts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience with document management systems, time entry, e‑filing platforms, and legal databases
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage competing deadlines
