About the Role
Our client, a respected law firm in Irvine, is seeking an experienced Paralegal Assistant to support attorneys specializing in construction defect and insurance defense litigation. This position is essential to the success of the litigation team and requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and advanced knowledge of legal terminology and litigation procedures.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience preparing litigation documents, coordinating depositions, managing deadlines, and supporting attorneys through all stages of pre-trial and trial preparation. This is an outstanding opportunity for a seasoned litigation assistant who thrives in a fast-paced, paperless environment.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents including motions, pleadings, discovery, correspondence, and trial materials.
Coordinate depositions for parties, witnesses, and expert witnesses.
Maintain litigation matrices, chronologies, deadlines, and case calendars.
Assist with trial preparation, exhibit organization, and attorney support tasks.
Perform State and Federal e-filings using various electronic court platforms.
Work in a fully paperless environment using systems such as Worldox or iManage.
Provide high-level administrative support to multiple attorneys simultaneously.

Must-Have Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
Minimum 5 years of Legal Assistant experience supporting attorneys in a law firm.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and Excel.
Excellent grammar, proofreading, and typing accuracy.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently.
Professional, respectful demeanor.

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of insurance defense or personal injury defense litigation experience.
Experience in construction defect litigation or similar practice areas.
Strong time-management skills and ability to support multiple attorneys.
Experience using Worldox, iManage, or similar document management systems.
