Procurement Buyer

Salary ranging from $60,000 to $80,000 plus package.

We're recruiting for a growing global business that supplies electronic components to customers in Aerospace, Defence, Medical, Industrial, and Energy markets.

They help customers solve difficult supply chain problems by finding electronic components that aren't always easy to source. As the business continues to grow, they're looking for another Buyer to join the team.

This isn't a role where you'll just be raising purchase orders all day.

You'll work with suppliers around the world to source electronic components, negotiate the best prices and lead times, and help customers keep their production moving.

You'll work closely with Sales, Quality and Operations, building strong supplier relationships and solving sourcing challenges every day.

• Buying electronic components from manufacturers, franchised distributors and approved independent suppliers.
• Sending RFQs and comparing supplier quotes.
• Negotiating prices, lead times and commercial terms.
• Finding alternative parts when products become difficult to source.
• Following purchase orders through to delivery.
• Keeping ERP records up to date.
• Working with internal teams to make sure customers receive the best service.

You'll already have experience in Procurement, Purchasing or Supply Chain.

Experience in the electronic components industry would be a big advantage, especially if you've worked with:

• Semiconductors
• Connectors
• Electromechanical Components

Experience with in Electronics Distribution, EMS/CEM or Manufacturing would also be beneficial.

• Organised
• Good at building supplier relationships
• Comfortable using ERP systems and Excel
• Able to work in a busy, fast-moving environment
• Keen to learn and develop
